CBT Therapy Sessions

Private, focused, and built around you. Sessions are held online or face to face at Rosebank Wellbeing Centre, Northwich — whichever works best for you.

Using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, we go beneath the symptoms — into the core beliefs that formed long before you had any say in them, and the protective responses you built around them. The people pleasing. The perfectionism. The anxiety. They made sense once. And they can change.

This is not about giving you strategies to manage how you feel. It is about understanding why you feel it — because that understanding is what actually changes things.

£100 per session (Coaching package prices differ — please get in touch to discuss)

What to expect

The first session is an assessment, where we take the time to understand your unique challenges, experiences, and the difficulties that have brought you here. This helps us build a clear picture of what is going on and identify the areas of your life that are being affected.

Together, we will establish meaningful goals for therapy by exploring an important question:

"How will my life be different when I no longer struggle with this?"

Your answer helps shape the direction of our work and allows us to create a personalised treatment plan tailored specifically to your needs, goals, and circumstances.

Therapy is a collaborative process. I will guide and support you throughout, providing evidence-based CBT strategies, practical tools, and resources designed to help you make progress both inside and outside of our sessions.

Lasting change requires commitment. The clients who achieve the greatest results are those who actively engage with the process and are willing to practise the strategies we discuss.

My role is not simply to listen, but to help you understand what is keeping you stuck, support you in overcoming it, and equip you with the tools and confidence to move forward.

More support. More structure. More momentum.

For people who want to move faster and want someone in their corner day to day.

This is a 12-week online coaching programme for people pleasing and perfectionism. It is higher-touch, more structured, and designed for people who want more than a weekly session — people who want support woven into their week.

Both options get to the root. Coaching simply offers more structure, more contact, and more support between sessions.

My areas of specialism

These aren't just topics I've read about. They're patterns I've worked with extensively — and in many cases, lived myself. That changes how I work with them.

People Pleasing

People pleasing has nothing to do with kindness. It is a fear-based behaviour to prevent yourself from feeling bad. But bad about what? That is exactly what we explore together. People pleasing is not a personality trait and it is not a character flaw. It is a survival response — one that made complete sense once, given what you were working with. Understanding where it came from is the thing that actually changes it.

Perfectionism

Most perfectionists do not identify as perfectionists — because a perfectionist feels anything but perfect. Imagine running a hundred metre race, and just as you reach the finish line, it moves another hundred metres. You keep running. And just as you reach it again, it moves. Until eventually you burn out completely — exhausted, still feeling like you never quite finished the race. A perfectionist ends every single day feeling like a failure, despite giving everything they have. Not because they are failing. But because perfection does not exist, and that is the only standard they will accept. This is the work that changes that.

Anxiety

The overthinking, the what-ifs, the physical symptoms that show up before your brain has even caught up. Anxiety is a signal. It is your mind telling you that something underneath needs your attention. CBT is one of the most evidenced approaches for anxiety — and we use it properly.

Self-Worth

When your worth is built on what you achieve, who approves of you, or how much you do for others — it is never solid ground. No matter how much you pile on top, the feeling of not-quite-enough stays. This is the work that builds the foundation. Not just what sits on top of it.

This might be for you if…

I work with both men and women. The patterns look different on the outside. The root causes are usually the same.

You are high-achieving but exhausted

You show up for everyone. You are good at what you do. And underneath all of it, there is a constant hum of not-quite-enough-ness that no amount of achievement seems to fix.

You cannot seem to say no

You agree to things you do not want to do. You avoid conflict at almost any cost. You have spent so long putting other people first that you have lost track of what you actually want.

You are done pretending it is fine

You do not need to fit a particular mould to work with me. I work with both men and women. If the perfectionism, the anxiety, or the people pleasing is running your life — this space is for you.

You want real change, not just coping

You have tried managing it. You want to understand it — properly — and shift it for good. That is exactly the kind of work we do here.

What clients say

"After spending most of my life as a perfectionist, which was causing day to day anxiety and eventually burn out, Leanne has not only helped me understand this behaviour, but has also helped me change my thoughts. My general day to day anxiety has now gone and I feel so much lighter without the weight of constant worry or fear of failing."

— Gemma  ·  Five Star Google Review

"I've lived with anxiety all my life and spent 28 years on Prozac, but through Leanne's patience, understanding, and steady guidance, I've reached a place I never imagined. I'm now not taking any medication and I am slowly stepping forward into a new life with a clearer understanding of where my anxiety began and why it affected me the way it did."
