Getting to this point wasn't easy, but it was worth it!

I was underweight and
pulled my own hair out!

I went to the doctors and was prescribed medication. Feeling desperate, I started taking it. It helped me feel a little calmer but didn’t actually free me from my struggles.

One day, while reading a book, I came across the idea that our thoughts create our feelings and our feelings create our behaviours. It was like a light bulb went off in my head. It made sense because I was having a lot of fearful thoughts, leading to feelings of anxiety. But I began questioning: where were these thoughts coming from, and why had nobody explained this concept to me before?

And so my journey to understand myself began!

I started studying even more cognitive behavioural therapy books, and it felt like someone had written the books about me! Everything suddenly made sense—why I was having certain thoughts, certain feelings and why I was acting like I was. This newfound understanding gave me hope, so I began implementing the techniques into my own life.

The human mind is fascinating, and understanding it is the key to freedom from these struggles. That’s why I feel frustrated with the education system. If I had known back then what I know now, it would have saved me years of suffering!
